Keith debuted internationally for Team Canada at the 2008 World Championships. He contributed two assists in nine games as Canada won a silver medal, losing in the gold medal game to Russia.
On December 30, 2009, Keith was selected to play for Team Canada at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. He was named to the squad along with Blackhawks teammates Brent Seabrook and Jonathan Toews.
